The games are typically two best balls, with a few options selected to maximize the fun and minimize individual competitive pressure.  </B></div> <bR> <div> <B>All events are handicapped, if you don’t have a USGA handicap we will develop one for your first match.  After that, only scores played in our events are used to calculate a “Goldfarb Handicap”.  We update this every week and adjust it to the rating of next course.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>First play guests (without a USGA handicap) are not eligible to win low net.  Unless approved, a team will only have one guest.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Guests are limited to play twice in one season … To play in a third event requires membership. </B><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial" ><B> Annual Membership - $15 per player.</B></FONT></div> <bR> <div> <B>Each Event has a $9.00 entry fee</B><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" ><B>, of which $8.00 will be paid in prize money.  We request bag service and hope you will tip with good service.</B></FONT></div> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <I>We pay $0.50 per player to ensure that these people are not abused.</I></div> <bR> <div> <B>Your entry fee and a few dollars from the events are used to cover expenses.</B></div> <div> <B>We do not pay salaries, but there are three people golfing free each week:</B></div> <div> <B>Art & Ronnie Slyfield, Bruce Denkert or whoever is subbing for them, gets a green fee with cart.  The golf courses we play each provide two complimentary rounds; the third round comes from our budget.</B></div> <bR> <div> <B>Each team has a Captain with three basic responsibilities:</B></div> <div> <B>     1.  Teach and enforce the rules of golf and our “Goldfarb Rules”</B></div> <div>         2.  Manage Speed of play</div> <div> <B>     3.  Audit player scores and accurately complete the cards   </B></div> <bR> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <B>We modified rules to make the game a little more enjoyable:</B></div> <bR> <div> <FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#0000FF" FACE="Arial Narrow" ><B><U>We roll the ball</U></B></FONT><B><U> </U></B><B>  Lift Clean and Place </B><B><U>anywhere not in a hazard</U></B><B>. </B></div> <div> <B>Always take free relief from roots. </B></div> <div> <B>Typically move the ball a few inches.</B></div> <div> <B>Rolling is for a better lie, not a better line or a free swing</B></div> <div> <B><U>All out-of-bounds</U></B><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial Narrow" ><B> … are played as lateral hazards. From the point of entry you have three options: 1.) Drop two club lengths from point of entry,  2.) From point of entry straight back away from the Flag, 3.) Play the shot over from it’s original spot … in each case add one stroke.</B></FONT></div> <div> <B><U>Maximum Score</U></B><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial Narrow" ><B> … 3 over par on any hole. </B></FONT></div> <div> <B>If your group is not keeping up … you do not have the option of hitting more shots or putting for practice </B></div> <div> <B><U>Tees</U></B><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial Narrow" ><B>… Our games are played from Three Tee positions:</B></FONT></div> <div> <B># 1 White tees are the default Tees.                    </B><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#008000" FACE="Arial Narrow" ><B>     +/- 6000 yds</B></FONT></div> <div> <B># 2 “Senior Tees” require an age of 60+                    </B><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#008000" FACE="Arial Narrow" ><B>     +/- 5500 yds</B></FONT></div> <div> <B># 3 Tees Ladies and Super Seniors (75+)                </B><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#008000" FACE="Arial Narrow" ><B>     +/- 5000 yds</B></FONT></div> <div> <B>When a Player’s handicap index is less than 30, they can exerciser their personal preference to play the longer tees. Once a player’s tee is established we do not allow frequent changes</B></div> <div> <B>Handicaps are adjusted with an initial change. </B></div> <div> <B><U>Captains Rules</U></B><B> </B><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial Narrow" ><B>… We allow the </B></FONT><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#FF0000" FACE="Arial Narrow" ><B><U>Captain’s</U></B></FONT><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial Narrow" ><B> to make special judgment calls to ensure </B></FONT></div> <div> <B>Speed of play:</B></div> <div> <B>Gimmie putts that are “</B><B><U>inside the length of the grip ( 8”)</U></B></div> <div> <B>Lost Balls … replace without penalty when lost clearly away from a hazard.</B></div> <div> <B>Skip to a drop area … add one stroke and proceed to the drop area</B></div> <div> <B>Team skips a hole … when not keeping pace with the group in front.</B></div> <div> <B>All players are given a score for a NET Par.</B></div> <div> <B><U>On the Clock</U></B><B> </B><FONT SIZE="4" COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial Narrow" ><B>… Is issued to all players in groups not finishing with the majority.</B></FONT></div> <div> <B>We love 4 hour rounds and expect another 15 minuets on an average.  </B></div> <div> <B>But forty people waiting on four is not acceptable.
